Hartzview Vineyard

Hartzview was established in 1988 by Rob and Anthea Patterson. The estate-grown Pinot Noirs are hand-picked and processed on-site. Hartzview is renowned for fortified wines, establishing a niche for preservative-free, no artificial flavours or colourings Ports and Liqueurs. Because they are fortified to 18%alc/vol they keep for many years. Made from 100% High-quality Tasmanian fruit, they range from the dryer traditional Tawny Style Port and include an Intense Blackberry, Rich Cherry, Dessert Blueberry, Sweet Raspberry, Tasmanian Cassis and Spiced Apple Liqueur Mead.

The history of the property is small fruit and still has a Heritage listed original Pickers Hut Village which you are able to enjoy a self-guided tour.

The Patterson's daughter Edwina has established Gardners Bay Distillery, producing an award-winning Eximious Gin and Raspberry Gin. Tastings and Sales of all the above Wines, Ports, Liqueurs and Gin are available at the Cellar Door (see opening times or call for appointment).
