2026 Tasmanian Wine List of the Year Finalists
Seventeen venues named finalists, with Tassie wine lovers now invited to have their say!
From city dining rooms and neighbourhood wine bars to country pubs, coastal stays and specialist retailers, seventeen venues have been named finalists in the 2026 Tasmanian Wine List of the Year awards, presented by Wine Tasmania.
The annual awards celebrate the venues doing a brilliant job of putting Tasmanian wine front and centre – championing the island’s producers, regions and extraordinary diversity of wines.
This year’s finalists were selected from a very strong field of entrants, with judges looking at the breadth and representation of Tasmanian wine on offer, how thoughtfully each list is put together and, importantly, how well each venue tells the Tasmanian wine story.
Wine Tasmania CEO Sheralee Davies congratulated this year’s finalists.
“The standard of entries this year was exceptional and the pride in our local wines is so gratifying to see. With several new entrants, this year’s finalists represent the most diverse group in the nine years of the program,” Ms Davies said.
“What we love about these awards is that there’s no single formula for a great Tasmanian wine list. It might be a beautifully curated restaurant list, a cracking selection at the local pub, a small wine bar pouring something unexpected, or a retailer helping customers discover a new favourite.”
“These finalists are spread right across the island, from Geeveston to Stanley and from Strachan to Swansea. Each has its own approach, but they all share a genuine enthusiasm for Tasmanian wine and the talented people who grow and make it.”
And now, it’s over to the wine lovers.
Voting is officially open for the 2026 People’s Choice Award, giving the public the chance to throw their support behind the finalist venue they think deserves some extra Tassie wine glory. Everyone who votes will also go into the draw to win 12 mixed bottles of Tasmanian wine.
The People’s Choice Award sits alongside the independently judged categories of Best Wine List – Hobart, Best Wine List – Launceston, Best Regional Wine List, Best Small Wine Bar List, and the overall Tasmanian Wine List of the Year.
Public voting for the People’s Choice Award closes Friday 30th October, with votes able to be submitted at winetasmania.com.au/vote.
Winners of the 2026 Tasmanian Wine List of the Year awards will be announced from Monday 2 November 2026.
