Pressing Matters Avery Forum

The Pressing Matters Avery Forum was developed in memory of the late John Avery MW, with the patronage of Greg Melick (Pressing Matters). It aims to improve the knowledge of global wine benchmarks, across styles, regionality and ageability, and to help participants understand Tasmania's position in the global wine world, and what we can collaboratively and respectively do to progress Tasmania's viticulture, winemaking and promotion. Applications are invited each year through the Wine Tasmania e-newsletter and are reviewed by a selection panel to appoint the 10 participants. A subsidised participation fee applies, and varies based on the varietal focus. Over the past ten years, the varietal focus has included pinot noir, riesling and chardonnay.
