The Winemakers' Federation of Australia is pleased to re-launch the ‘Wineskills’ wine-business training services. There will be an exciting program of training modules to roll out over the coming months. WFA Members can access these modules either free of charge, or at discounted rates, depending on the module.
The first of these training modules is the WET – Back to Basics seminar. This will be held in Hobart from 9am to 12pm on Tuesday 20 November at TasTAFE Drysdale House, 59 Collins Street, Hobart. Click here for further information and to book your tickets.
The module will focus on a refresher of the Wine Equalisation Tax (WET) system for winemaking businesses, and wine-associated businesses, that are eligible to claim the WET Rebate. The session aims to provide winemaking businesses and other associated businesses in the wine sector, an opportunity to ensure they are across the WET System as it stands, and ensure their business practices are compliant with the WET rules. This session offers a technical overview of the WET system as it stands to date, with dedicated time for one-on-one Q&A's for all participants with the ATO representatives.
Wineskills training modules will run as a fee-for-service, however the WET-Back to Basics seminar will be free of charge to current financial WFA Members.
