In 2014, we launched an initiative known as the 'Tasmanian Wine Brand project’. At the time we wrote a brief story (or narrative) of Tasmanian wine, highlighting what is unique, connects all the island's wine producers and can be used to help us stand out from the pack. As part of the accompanying producer toolkit, we also provided some practical marketing tools and advice for producers to adapt this story to tell their own. So many things have changed in the last five years and it's time for us to refresh the story and update the marketing tools.
In order to evolve our story, we need your help! We'd like our Tasmanian wine producer members to come along to one of the workshops we'll be running in the north (Monday 23 September) and south (Tuesday 24 September) with some marketing and brand experts. We understand that marketing may not always be the highest priority, but you are part of the Tasmanian wine story and we need to build this together so as we can grow our global reputation, differentiation and overall value!
