Growing Wine Tourism is a practical, wine-specific skills development program for wine businesses looking to develop their wine tourism products and services for the inbound tourism market.
Wine Australia has partnered with the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) to deliver the program in conjunction with Fastrak Asian Solutions and Wine Tourism Australia, as part of the Australian Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package.
The program comprises three modules which are being delivered throughout 2018–19.
Module 1: Laying the foundations
Module 2: Setting up your tourism experiences
Module 3: Securing inbound business
Module 1 – ‘Laying the foundations’ – commenced October 2018 with two face-to-face pilot workshops in New South Wales and Tasmania, and live interactive webinars in each state. These pilot workshops and webinars were an introduction to the program and an opportunity to gain feedback from wine businesses ahead of the full program rollout in 2019.
See Growing Wine Tourism at a glance (PDF) for an overview of the program.
